Who’s Tarrytech (corporate profile)?
Tarrytech is a managed service provider (MSP). Our unique network product, the Shadow Support Solution, delivers proactive and reactive support, network management, and planning. Please explain you day-to-day role at Tarrytech.

My daily role is to manage the business. I’m always looking for new technology solutions that could benefit my customers by improving their efficiency, lowering their risk, increasing their functionality, or reducing their cost. I manage my team of IT consulting services engineers, coordinating our processes and activities, to deliver a superior network product for our clients.

How did you arrive at Tarrytech?

My entire career has been in delivering technical services. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I spent several years developing HVAC systems for Cadillac, and GM’s first electric car, the EV1. After working as a mechanical engineer, I applied my skills to computer consulting. I rounded out my skill set by earning an MCSE, CCNA, and CCNP. I worked for several dot com firms. After gaining experience in these arenas, I started my own business. I realized that there was a real need for competent network consultants skill for mid-market businesses. Tarrytech started as an hourly/break-fix type firm to a Managed Service Provider (MSP). Tarrytech’s MSP product is second to none, and our clients receive prompt service and attention.

What motivates you most to achieve business success? Is your blueprint for success based, in some way, on role models? What’s your source of inspiration?

I derive motivation from the thrill of watching my company grow and expand while serving the local business community. My daily efforts and strategies have a direct effect on the success of my business, and plays a major positive role in my client’s businesses. My inspiration comes from my driven nature to prosper.

The latest version of our website went live in June 2011.

How important is your website to generate sales leads?

It hasn’t been to date…but I want this to be a major source of leads, which is why we’ve contracted with a firm specializing in IT consulting marketing SEOSamba.
