Please explain you day-to-day role at Looking Point.
- LookingPoint is a consistently growing startup, my role in the company shifts between CEO, CTO, and Sales Manager. I love providing technical vision, optimizing our processes and improving customer interactions. Most importantly I meet with our customers and our partners, its critical to get feedback from them to provide that gut check. We have a saying here, “If it doesn’t improve efficiency or a customer experience, why do it?” It’s a test to ensure we are doing things within the company for the right reasons.
How did you arrive at Looking Point?
- I started LookingPoint in 2010 with an idea that it would bring consistent technology consulting and managed services to the commercial market. It sounds simple, but it’s very hard to do, technology rapidly changes as do requirements. Keeping the team current on technology, motivated to deliver it all while trying to remain focused in an interrupt driven world is no easy task. I have a great team and am very fortunate to have everyone here.
What motivates you most to achieve business success? Is your blueprint for success based, in some way, on role models? What’s your source of inspiration?
My motivation comes from seeing others achieve more than they thought possible. This includes myself, I push myself harder than I push anyone on the team. This doesn’t mean working 100 hours a week, it means having the self-discipline to execute. We aren’t perfect, but every day as a company we improve. I see people on the team growing and improving their skills and confidence in themselves, our customers feel it too.
