1. Please explain your day-to-day role at Bellacures.

My day to day role includes wearing many hats - marketing, financial management and working with our financial team to create growth and monitor our KPI's, administrative and legal oversight and management, beauty salon franchise relationships, managing our public relations team and our direction with the brand, coming up with improvements for the operation of the store, developing campaigns and outreach to our customers, monitoring the quality and care of our stores. This is just to name a few!

2. How did you arrive at Bellacures?

After I graduated from USC in 2004, I started with KPMG in the summer. I was antsy to start working. I quickly knew that I could not stay at the job - my soul was expiring there. I quit after 10 months and decided to pursue an idea that I had in college - to provide a better option in the fragmented nail salon business industry where the only factor of competition was price. It was clear to me that someone needed to do a better job. I elected myself for the position without knowing what I was doing and learned along the way.

3. What motivates you most to achieve business success?

I stay motivated because I believe that we should use our skills and our abilities while we are on this planet - to be of service to other is the greatest joy and growth that I can have.

4. Is your blueprint for success based, in some way, on role models?

From the beginning I have always believed in the importance of mentors.  When you hear "it takes a village", it really does take a village. Every good businessperson needs a good team of experts and mentors. My advice is always to have a diverse group of old, young, male, female, familiar with your industry, only familiar with their industry, etc.

We do good work in an enjoyable environment and have the highest standards when it comes to cleanliness and customer service.

7. What are your primary product and/or service offering?

We provide manicures and pedicures, offering an array of service options and treatments for the hands and feet.

8. What are your primary geographical markets?

We have six locations in the Los Angeles area and one in Dallas, Texas.

9. Who are Bellacures's customers?

The Bellacures customer treats an impeccable manicure as her staple accessory.  She is elegant and sophisticated and has high standards in her beauty routine and life.

10. When did you get your first website online?

Before the salon was open we had a website, back in 2006.
